Dr. Derek Lindstrom grew up in Greenville, SC and has always had a natural connection with and a love for animals. He graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina, then went on to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine to obtain his veterinary degree. He completed his clinical year at NC State University.
Dr. Lindstrom started his veterinary career at Ark Animal Clinic in West Virginia, where he cultivated his love for surgery and medicine. He then moved to Hickory, NC, where he practiced at Mountain View Animal Hospital for 8 years, and continued to expand his skills in surgery and medicine. Dr. Lindstrom loves all aspects of veterinary medicine, but particularly enjoys tough medicine cases, soft tissue surgery and dentistry.
Dr. Lindstrom is so excited to be back home and is looking forward to becoming a part of and serving the Simpsonville community.
In his free time, Dr. Lindstrom enjoys spending time with his dog Mina, as well as traveling, fishing and watching sports -- especially the Atlanta Braves, South Carolina Gamecocks, and the Carolina Panthers.
